MiauDex automatically detects and stores your Discord language preference (locale code) to provide you with bot responses in your preferred language. This data is:

• Used solely to determine which language to display bot messages in
• Updated automatically when you change your Discord language settings
• Deleted when you request account deletion

6.2 Leaderboard Privacy

You can control whether you appear on public leaderboards through the bot's settings. This is disabled by default.

7. Children's Privacy

MiauDex is designed to be family-friendly. However, users under 13 should have parental permission to use Discord and our bot, in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service.

8. Third-Party Services

8.1 Discord

Our bot operates on Discord's platform and is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy. We collect language preferences from your Discord client settings.

8.2 Cat Images

Cat images are sourced from third-party APIs. We do not control the content of these images but make every effort to ensure they are appropriate.

8.3 Bot Voting Services

When you vote for MiauDex on bot listing websites (such as top.gg), these services notify our bot of your vote. We use this information solely to:

• Grant premium features as rewards
• Send you a thank you message via Discord DM
• Track voting statistics for service improvement

These third-party services have their own privacy policies that govern how they handle your information. We recommend reviewing their policies before voting.

9. Data Retention

• Active Users: Data retained while you actively use the bot
• Inactive Users: Data may be archived after 1 year of inactivity
• Deleted Accounts: Data permanently deleted within 30 days of request

10. International Users

MiauDex is operated from Poland. By using the bot, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
